My partner and I wanted a short weekend break down to Brighton for a quick getaway. We stayed one night and were amazed at the location and service the hotel gave for the amount we paid for it. The Staff were friendly and welcoming and booked us in quickly. We arrived early before check in and we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel in order to go and explore the town. The room was very clean and had all the necessities for a weekend stay. The Hotel itself was beautiful inside and had a range of services. The food was good if not a little expensive. Overall we will be using the Thistle again if we visit Brighton and were very pleased with the service they gave us.

    Fabulous

I really enjoyed my two night stay in Thistle. I stayed in deluxe room with a sea view and I must say it was very well designed, although a bit small for the amount of money that I paid but it was cosy. I thought the staff were very friendly and very welcoming. Breakfast and dinner very nice too. Loved the view! Definitely would stay here again:)

No big thing, only the bathroom was a bit small but clean and that's what matters to me the most:)

We only stayed 1 night , but the breakfast was very nice. The view was first class to the sea. (Front facing sea view room). The parking was convienient under the hotel, but expensive. Comfortable beds.

The lovley sea view was spoiled a bit by the fact the windows were very dirty on the outside. I guess as its on a busy road and has the salty air.(and seagal poo) . The parking I thought should be free and not charged for.

    Fabulous

I came with my elderly mother and we both loved having a glass of wine in the lounge although we both found the wine to be more expensive than anywhere else. The location was brilliant.

I felt for a hotel this quality there should have been robes and slippers in the room. Also a pillow top/feather bed on top of the mattress is quite usual now in good hotels, your didn't have it. A digital clock by the bed, I feel, is mandatory in a hotel. The food was adequate, not as good as I thought it would be.

    Location

The bed/pillows were uncomfortable and we were not made aware in advance that there was some building works going on. The room was pre-paid and on checking out I was told the only thing left to pay was a £1 donation to your chosen charity. Donations are optional and I do not appreciate the hotel trying to con customers into 'donating' to their charity. This is shameful practice.

The moment you walk into the hotel you are greeted wwarmly by the staff. Not just reception staff, but all hotel staff, and we felt that during our stay. Everyone was genuinely interested in us, and constantly asking if everything was ok, and if there was anything we needed. The hotel is spotless, tastefully furnished and the beds are really comfortable! In the restaurant the tables were laid for couples and tables of 4. We were 3, just us and our 8 year old daughter. We asked if we could sit by the window where the tables for couples were, and immediately the restaurant staff moved furniture very happily. Nothing was too much trouble. We would most definitely stay there again.

The outside of the hotel is not the prettiest, and doesnt draw you to it. But as soon as you walk through the doors, the wonderful atrium takes your breath away. It is light, airy and spacious, and perfectly situated on the beachfront.

The location is fantastic near to Brighton Pavilion, The Lanes and the seafront. Although the hotel carpark is always full, the carpark right next to the hotel is very convenient with a lift (at level 2) to go directly to the hotel lobby. Cost for 24-hours stay is £23 but hotel guests pay only £20 (which is the same charged for hotel car park)

I informed them on booking we were celebrating hubbies 50th birthday and on arrival there was a card, prezzie and an upgrade to side sea view.It was such a nice touch which we really appreciated.
